Editing

While editing Kerri Ann's interview I wanted to have more fun. I tested out some new fonts, and putting my creative abilities to the test. I knew when I was interviewing her I didn't want the basic who you are, where are you from, role model, what sports you plat, etc. I wanted the view to see who Kerri Ann is from this 1 minute video. In our friend group we have this big joke that Kerri Ann loves Colby and I thought that could make some good content. Also, I included some editing that can be found in current youtube trends (zoom/messed up face).

Director of Photography

Since Chloe was the first interview we did, as DP I had to set up the lights and adjust the camera before we began filming. I had to remember to format the card before hand, make sure we had a charge mic and camera. Having a mic or camera die half way through an interview is the worst and I plan on never making that mistake again. We chose to use the black wall in the Green Screen room because we were too lazy to set up the curtain. To be honest, I enjoyed the wall more than the wrinkle curtain because sometimes its hard to focus one one thing.  I am also happy with out the lighting turned out.

INTERVIEW

Being interviewed is one of my favorite things to do, besides editing them, I enjoy sharing stories about my self and friends. I know Chloe very well and was comfortable talking to her. One thing I really want to work on is using filler words (um, hm, like). This is something that is really annoying to edit out and causes for a lot of B-ROLL. Being interviewed is fun because you learn a lot about your character. I know some people who talk a lot but in front of a camera can't get a word out, then I know people where its the opposite.
